Traveling to Ha Giang (By Bus)

Before your trip, visit our office in Hanoi, Sapa, Cat Ba, Ha Long, Ninh Binh, or other designated cities. Board our luxurious Sleeping bus to Ha Giang. You will arrive in Ha Giang City around 3 am, where a free dormitory bed/ a private room will be provided. If you arrive the day before, enjoy a relaxing night and breakfast at 8 am before the tour begins at 9:30 am.

Day 1 : Ha Giang to Nam Dam

Route: Ha Giang ➔ Bac Sum Pass ➔ Quan Ba Heaven Gate ➔ Twin Mountains ➔ Lung Khuy Cave ➔ Lung Tam Village ➔ Nam Dam Village

  • 9:30 am: Begin your journey with a picturesque 35 km ride from Ha Giang City, taking in stunning views of mountains, forests, bamboo groves, and dams.
  • 10:30 am: Arrive at Bac Sum Pass, often referred to as the "snake road" due to its 20 winding curves. From the summit, enjoy panoramic views of hidden ethnic villages.
  • 12:00 pm: Continue to Quan Ba Heaven Gate for spectacular views of limestone mountains and deep valleys. Next, visit the Twin Mountains viewpoint.
  • 1:30 pm: Head to Lung Khuy Cave, embarking on a 2-hour hike to explore this natural wonder.
  • 3:00 pm: Visit Lung Tam Village, where you can observe local families weaving traditional hemp clothes and immerse yourself in their daily life and craftsmanship.
  • 5:00 pm: Arrive in Nam Dam Village, a Dao ethnic village known for its unique clay houses. Settle into a local homestay, relax, and enjoy your free time. Optionally, join a cultural dinner, engage in conversation, and perhaps enjoy some karaoke.
Day 2 : Nam Dam - Dong Van

Route: Nam Dam Village ➔ Lonely Tree ➔ Yen Minh Viewpoint ➔ Tham Ma Pass ➔ Lung Cam Valley (Hmong's Old House) ➔ Hmong King’s Palace ➔ Lung Cu Flagpole ➔ Dong Van Old Town

  • 8:30 am: Enjoy breakfast at the homestay and prepare for the day's adventure.
  • 9:30 am: Depart from Nam Dam Village, heading towards the Lonely Tree and Yen Minh Viewpoint for picturesque scenery.
  • 11:00 am: Travel along Tham Ma Pass, known for its nine beautiful winding curves, historically challenging for horses.
  • 12:30 pm: Explore Lung Cam Valley, home to the Hmong's old house, gaining insights into traditional Hmong architecture and culture.
  • 1:30 pm: Visit the ancient palace of a regional king from the 18th century.
  • 3:00 pm: Go to visit Lung Cu Flagpole, which offers splendid views of the Vietnam-China border. Explore Lo Lo Chai Village, home to the Lo Lo ethnic minority. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.
  • 5:00 pm: Arrive in Dong Van Old Town for dinner. Spend the evening exploring the town, known for its French colonial architecture.
Day 3: Dong Van - Du Gia

Route: Ma Pi Leng Pass ➔ Nho Que River ➔ Tu San Canyon ➔ Mau Due Village ➔ Du Gia Village

  • 9:00 am: Depart from Dong Van and travel along the scenic Happiness Road to Ma Pi Leng Pass, famous for its rugged cliffs and stunning 2,000-meter-high views.
  • 11:00 am: Stop at the Nho Que River for breathtaking mountain scenery, and continue to Tu San Canyon.
  • 1:00 pm: Have lunch in Mau Due Village before heading towards Du Gia Village through trails home to seven different ethnic minority groups.
  • 5:00 pm: Arrive in the tranquil Du Gia Village, known for its year-round waterfall. After a challenging ride, relax by the waterfall surrounded by picturesque mountains and forests.
  • Note: Bring swimwear, towels, and sunscreen for outdoor activities in Du Gia. The tour guide will provide drinks before heading to the waterfall.
Day 4 : Du Gia - Ha Giang

Route: Du Gia ➔ Duong Thuong Village ➔ Thai An Village ➔ Ha Giang

  • 9:00 am: After breakfast, say farewell to your hosts and embark on the final leg of your journey.
  • 11:00 am: Drive through Duong Thuong Village, passing through valleys famous for their stunning terraced rice fields and dams. Visit the vast hemp fields along rustic country roads.
  • 1:00 pm: Enjoy lunch and rest for about an hour in Thai An Village.
  • 4:00 pm: Return to Ha Giang in the afternoon. You will have plenty of time to catch a limousine bus back to Hanoi (4 pm), a regular sleeping bus or a cabin bus, depending on your preference.
